Would you like to get paid to help people have fun?

Hospitality and tourism workers help people enjoy vacations and entertainment activities. You might work at a restaurant, resort, sports arena, theme park, museum, or hotel.  For example, you might manage operations of a college cafeteria, guide high school students on a trip to Spain, or rent equipment at a recreation center.

Courses Offered:

Foundations of Hospitality

Students explore the variety of career opportunities in the hospitality industry.

Foundations of Culinary Arts

This foundational lab course introduces students to the essentials of nutrition and health, food safety and sanitation, food service and preparation techniques, meal planning, cost analysis, and resource management.

Global Culinary Arts

Students develop and enrich culinary skills with an international flavor. 

Culinary Chef

Students gain industry standard culinary skills while working in the commercial kitchen lab.

Culinary Management

Students expand their culinary food preparation skills for work in the restaurant industry with an emphasis on baking.

ServSafe Training and Certification

Students who complete the Culinary Chef course will be introduced to the requirements for ServSafe and will have the option to enroll in ServSafe training and certification. ServSafe is a food and beverage safety training and certificate program administered by the National Restaurant Association. Certification is required by most restaurants as a basic credential for their management staff.
